" Paul's Case”
In Willa Cather's history " Paul's Case, ” the main personality Paul is a troubled child, who is looking for an escape coming from reality. Paul's way of escaping his stressed life is through a day desire. For the most part Paul's safe place is in Nyc. That is till Paul's dad comes trying to find him. This is how Paul's reality then takes form in the imaginary world.
If Paul uses an mythical escape universe to get away by his stressed life, then simply why does that include him committing suicide? I have 1 reason to describe his committing suicide. As a result of Paul's epiphany, he begins to diminish back into actuality. As the audience, you happen to be lead to believe that Paul was dreaming the entire time. The last sentence in the story " Paul decreased back into the immense type of things, ” confirms the audience's beliefs. (pg. 133) Therefore I think it is hard to trust that Paul ever truly traveled to Nyc. Due provide that Paul was a midsection class child from Pittsburg. Paul totally resented his lower and middle course upbringing. His resentment of his childhood leads him to believe that New York is where the prestige lived. We find it hard to believe that he in fact went to Ny, because most of New York can be slums.
I believe it is hardly credible or even which Paul basically lived most of the...
